Lovingly referred to as the Tone-Deaf Bard by Paimon, Venti is a curious, laid-back, and mischievous musician. He's often found performing songs both ancient and brand-new at one of Mondstadt's many taverns for the low-low cost of a single apple or, better yet, another glass of wine.

Venti's eccentric personality quickly gained him recognition throughout town - though his success could also be attributed to his child-like features and comical inability to score booze on the job; suddenly going from a performer with barely a penny to his name to that of an established and successful songwriter - still with no money, but plenty of booze in its place. He's fantastic for exploring, but his combat prowess land more on the Support/Enabler side of things.
Venti is a 5-star character who debuted on his own character banner called Ballad in Goblets on September 28, 2020, running until October 18, 2020.
His first rerun occurred in 2021, from March 17 to April 6. And his third, happening in Update 2.6 in 2022, is set to run from March 30 to April 19.
Combat Details
In battle, Venti's relatively short cooldowns allow him to fire off frequent pack-disrupting wind currents, knocking targets up off their feet and giving Venti and his team the chance to follow up with a Plunge attack. His main ability can double up as an easy way to react with any other Element with Swirl, allowing for consistent burst damage throughout the fight.
Similarly, Venti's Elemental Charge lifts mob packs off their feet, pulling them together and suspending them in a continuously damaging Anemo vortex that can then absorb another element for increased damage of that type. Though his own attacks won't stand out as the team levels up, the combo opportunities he opens up are second-to-none, earning him a top spot on the Tier List.
Venti's Talents and Skill Priorities
Similar to characters that mostly have elemental mastery/elemental reactions as their main source of damage, there's no need to level up any of Venti's talents. However, if you're going for the sub DPS route with ATK build, the recommended priorities would be:

Venti's role in the party is a sub-DPS that has great grouping capabilities. His elemental burst has a low energy requirement which means that you can reliably cast it without having to worry much about energy recharge. Getting it to around 165% to 175% should be enough.
Best Weapons For Venti
As a Sub DPS and Support, most of Venti’s damage will come from the elemental reactions that are set up with your teammates. As a result, the Mondstadt Archon heavily relies on Elemental Mastery to increase his damage output.

The 5-star hero’s Anemo Swirl is also important as it shreds enemies' Elemental RES which will allow your Main DPS and party to tap into their full damage output without any resistance. Because of this, one of Venti’s best weapons is the Elegy for the End which boosts his Elemental Mastery by a significant amount. The bow also buffs his Energy Recharge which will lets players spam his Elemental Burst, Wind's Grand Ode, to group up enemies.
Those who prefer the bard to be more of a heavy hitter should look no further than the Skyward Harp. It not only gives the Archon a major increase in CRIT Rate, but Crit DMG as well, making each arrow hit more devastating.
The Anemo hero also has a 4-star weapon which easily reaches the levels of his 5-star options. The Stringless bow not only increases his Elemental Mastery, but it also boosts his Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG. Fully refined, the free-to-play item can be many players' best choice.
| Weapon Name | In-Game Description |
|---|---|
| Elegy for the End | ・Energy Recharge + 12.00% ・Increased Elemental Mastery by 60. Gain sigils when dealing damage with Elemental Skill or Burst. Elemental Mastery increased by 100 and ATK increased by 20% at 4 sigils. |
| Skyward Harp | ・CRIT Rate + 4.8%・Increases CRIT DMG by 20%. Hits have a 60% chance to inflict a small AoE attack, dealing 125% Physical ATK DMG. Can only occur once every 4s. |
| The Stringless | ・Elemental Mastery + 36 ・Increases Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG by 24% |
Best Free-to-Play/Below AR45 Weapons for Venti
Unlike his 5-star choices, Venti’s free-to-play and lower level bows do not focus on Elemental Mastery. Instead, these weapons lean more into buffing his DMG which is for Sub DPS users and Energy Recharge for those using him as Support.
Players who have a main DPS or team with high energy costs can really benefit from the Favonius Bow which buffs Energy Recharge. The set will allow Venti to use his Skyward Sonnet rapidly, which is actually excellent for generating Energy. If Venti lands CRIT hits, he will have a 60% chance to generate additional elemental particles for other units in your party.
Similarly, the Sacrificial Bow will enable the 5-Star hero to spam his Elemental Skill as it has a 40% chance to instantly reset its cooldown. Both of these weapons are great picks for a Support role as you will be able to use your Elemental Burst frequently while also generating energy for teammates.
The Alley Hunter is a very situational pick but can be devastating if used correctly. Because he is often not on the field, this 4-star item will give him a 20% buff to all DMG after being switched in after 10 seconds. This can greatly increase his Elemental Skill and Burst by a substantial amount. With a maxed-out refinement and the right team comp, it can even rival The Stringless.
| Weapon Name | In-Game Description |
|---|---|
| Favonius Warbow | ・Energy Recharge + 13.3% ・CRIT Hits have a 60% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12s. |
| Sacrificial Bow | ・Energy Recharge + 6.7% ・After damaging an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30s. |
| Alley Hunter | ・ATK + 6.0%・While the character equipped with this weapon is in the party but not on the field, their DMG increases by 2% every second up to a max of 20%. When the character is on the field for more than 4s, the aforementioned DMG buff decreases by 4% per second until it reaches 0%. |

Best Artifacts For Venti
Compared to most Support units, Venti actually has a handful of Artifact options that will drastically improve his role on your team. At the top of the pack is the Viridescent Venerer which both boosts his Anemo DMG and increases his Swirl DMG. Where the set really shines is that it decreases the enemy's Elemental RES by an extra 40%, making the 5 star hero’s Elemental Burst an incredible aid to your Main DPS.
Another great option is the Noblesse Oblige. Since players will be using the Archon’s Elemental Burst frequently to crowd control enemies, this set will buff the move by 20%. After using Wind's Grand Ode, your entire team will also get a 20% boost to their ATK.
Lastly, Wanderer's Troupe boosts the Anemo hero’s Elemental Mastery by 80. Because most players will use the Bow user to debuff enemies to set up elemental reactions, the artifact can actually be incredibly powerful.
As far as stats go, this will largely depend on what role you are using Venti in. For Support, you will need Sands of Eon: Energy Recharge, Goblet: Elemental Mastery, and Circlet: Elemental Mastery. For Sub DPS you should go with Sands of Eon: ATK% / Elemental Mastery, Goblet:
Anemo DMG Bonus and Circlet: CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG.

Best Free-to-Play/Below AR45 Artifacts for Venti
Because the Anemo hero is both a Sub-DPS and Support, he has some solid artifacts for Adventure Rank 45 and below. Similar to The Stringless, the Instructor Artifact set is just as good as the Mondstadt Archon’s 5-star options. Not only does it boost his Elemental Mastery by 80, but it also buffs your entire team’s EM by 120 after triggering an Elemental reaction.
The Exile’s Energy Recharge and 4-piece bonus turn Venti into an incredible support, even at lower levels. With this set, he can use his Elemental Burst more frequently and constantly generate Energy for the rest of his party.
Lastly, the Gambler set gives Venti a guaranteed 20% DMG boost to his Elemental Skill. If players manage to kill an enemy with it, it has a 100% chance of removing its cooldown, which should be easy to achieve given that most players will normally be using this move on grouped-up enemies anyway.
